Recent reports of the effects of an email lottery scam highlight the need for us all to protect ourselves from such online hoaxes. 

It is estimated that these types of attempts to steal our cash could be costing a massive £3billion a year. It also seems that as the technology develops the methods cybercriminals are using are becoming increasingly sophisticated.
